“World Population day” was observed by RH/PER team in Railway Higher secondary school on 11th July 2024. RH/PER team was welcomed by the school band with a royal salute.Dr.S.Kalyani/MD/RH/PER presided over the session. Winners of the Elocution competition gave their speech on adverse effects of over population. DrK.S.Rajarajeswari/ACHD/H&FW gave a talk on the theme “Leave no one, count everyone” and stressed on the quality of inclusiveness. Dr.Sahana/DMO/Psychiatry spoke on the effects of over population and the stress it generates. She gave tips to the students on how to handle stress in a lively manner. Dr.S.Kalyani spoke on imbibing good qualities and how to resist peer pressure. Students took an oath on avoiding substance abuse. Principal Mrs.B.Kousalya briefed the students on various issues. Prize distribution was done for drawing( Primary), painting (Middle school), Essay, Elocution (High school), Essay, Elocution ( Higher secondary) competitions. 310 students had participated in the competitions held throughout last week.The drawings and paintings of the participants were displayed in the school. Vote of thanks was given by Head master Mr.C.Saravanan. Around 150 students and teachers participated in the session. All the messages were well received.
