Department of CTVS in RH/PER has been functioning as a premier Institute and Referral Centre for our entire Indian Railways.
At Present, there are two IRHS Doctors:
1. Dr. N. R. Ravishankar, MBBS, M.Ch, MA, Hindi & Sanskrit
2. Dr. V. Anand Kumar, MBBS, M.Ch
DNB students are trained at CTVS Department as part of curriculum.
Railway Hospital, Perambur is the primary referral centre for Cardiac patients all over Indian Railways and provides holistic care for the patients with less mortality.
Simple and Complex Congenital Cardiac Surgeries.
Open Heart Surgeries like MVR/AVR/DVR & Combined Procedures (Valve+CABG).
CABG - Off Pump/On pump.
VATS - Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery, apart from common Lobectomies and other Lung Surgeries.
MICS – Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeries for selected cases.
Bronchoscopic Procedures – Basic and Advanced.
