Department of Radiology

General Info:

Since its establishment the Radiology Department has been playing an important role in diagnosis through radiography and the ultrasonography. Round the clock Radiological services are being provided to the Railway population.

The Radiology Department is functioning in two buildings, the New Radiology block and the Old Radiology Block. The Department is manned by one Radiologist ten Radiographer one Matron four Hospital attendants and one Sanitary cleaner. The Department is equipped with two fixed DR, one Digital Mobile X R ay machine, one CR with PACs four mobile X-Ray units, one OPG and two high end USG machines with Color Doppler. Radiology Department has been successfully achieving its goal in giving the best quality radiological services to the patients. Apart from rendering the services to the patients, Post Graduates from the other Departments are being trained in USG.

Statistics

On an average about 500-600 USGs /month including 80-100 Doppler studies.

About 5000 -5500 Radiographs/month are taken.

About 20-30 special procedures like IVU, AUG, HSG, MCU and Barium studies.
