The breast feeding awareness programme was conducted in NICU by the Department of Paediatrics/RH/PER. Dr V Senthil Kumar/HOD Department of Paediatrics along with his team of Doctors ,postgraduate students and staff of Paediatric ward gave lectures on the benefits of breast feeding , the importance of the role of mothers in breastfeeding , the various positions of breast feeding .The programme was attended by all the mothers, their attendees, and care givers of the mothers.
The awareness was given in bilingual .
The theme of this year " Prioritise Breastfeeding and Create Sustainable Support Systems" was made to be understood.
