In connection with world Autism month, Department of Psychiatry organised an awareness program at the Pediatric OPD, New railway hospital on 12/04/2025. Introduction speech was given by Dr. P. Hemalatha, ACHD/ Psychiatry. Clinical psychologist Miss. Manisha Sivadharshini delivered an audio visual presentation on the symptomatology . A guest speaker Mr. Dharick Moinuddin, Occupational therapist spoke on the therapeutic aspects and Dr. Sahana varshini/ DMO/ Psychiatry highlighted upon the stigma related to autism, Dr. K. Elavarasan, Siddha medical clinic, delivered an Audio visual presentation on the treatment of varma therapy in autism. And finally PCMD . Dr. Kalyani, highlighted upon the positive aspects in dealing with autistic children. The Presentation was well received by the parents and other beneficiaries
