On the occasion of World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse 2024, the Department of Psychiatry conducted an awareness session at Railway Colony Primary School for 20 students, focusing on the concepts of "good touch" and "bad touch." During the session, an interactive activity was organized where the students colored specific parts of pictures of a boy and a girl to distinguish between areas associated with good touch and bad touch. This activity helped the children understand personal boundaries, recognize safe and unsafe interactions, and empowered them to express their feelings. The initiative aimed to raise awareness and promote safety, ensuring children can identify and protect themselves from abuse.
