On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day , the Department of Psychiatry conducted an educational program for the Paramedical staff of RH/PER, on 10/09/24, at the hospital auditorium. Dr.Hemalatha, ACHD/ Psychiatry started the program with an introductory speech. Suicide, it's types, risk identification, warning signs and coping strategies were discussed by the Contract Psychologists, Miss.Manisha and Mr.Sharan. Crisis intervention and management aspects were highlighted by Dr.Sahanavarshini, DMO/Psychiatry, in an interactive and engaging manner. About 65 Staff nurses participated in the program with great interest and enthusiasm and the program was received well.
